South London based dance-pop trio, formed in spring of 2008. They consist of singer Tigs, and multi-instrumentalists Will Sanderson and James Watkins.
Chew Lips has been described as "minimal dance-pop" and "coupling techno beats with smart-mouthed edgy vocals", influenced by LCD Soundsystem and Prince and "Classic Pop". The Guardian said they "haven't yet mastered the killer hook or knockout chorus," but NME say "They've been together barely 12 months, but they've already got the capital in their pockets and have (in 'Solo') produced one of the most exciting singles of the year.&quo
