On Blowback, Tricky looks to others to breathe fresh life into his world. But at first glance, Tricky's choice of collaborators for his sixth seems not just awkward but wilfully perverse. Ed Kowalczyk (lead screamer for rock relics Live), Cyndi Lauper, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ambersunshower and Hawkman all appear. Yet, to his inestimable credit, the Bristolian wild child successfully weaves them all into his world.
