The Band
Northern Pikes was one of the best alternative rock groups to come out of Canada in the '80s. After touring to support their "Neptune" album, they announced their retirement as a group in July 1993 but reunited in 1999.
This Album
"Big Blue Sky" was their first major-label album, released in 1987. It featured two hit Canadian singles - "Teenland" and "Things I Do for Money". The album was certified Gold in Canada by the Canadian Recording Industry Association on December 24, 1987.
