Beware of the Maniacs is The Dodos first recording, selfreleased July 2006 recorded at Type Foundry Studios in Portland, Oregon with John Askew. Following the release The Dodos set out on a rigorous touring schedule that would carry through their sophomore release Visiter released by French Kiss Records (North America) March 2007 and July 2007 release by Wichita Records (rest of the world).
