Since the Jefferson Airplane hail from San Francisco and came of age at the dawn of the psychedelic era, they've been typecast as a psychedelic band. However, one listen to this greatest hits album should dispel that notion and clearly illustrate that here is one angry group of punks. Singer Grace Slick caterwauls, drummer Spencer Dryden crashes all over the place, and the guitars whammy way out of tune.
