My 2nd movie watched from the director
Though he sticks with his brand Zeitlin's follow-up to "Beasts of a Southern Wild" isn't as creatively and emotionally successful. It relies so much on the acting of the kids which lends to some awkward moments and, at times, it feels like this is made by and for kids. I love the idea and the effort, the gamble just doesn't pay off.
