A good movie
Posted : 13 years, 5 months ago on 22 November 2010 01:00To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie but since there was a very nice cast involved, I was quite eager to check it out. Well, even though it was not really groundbreaking, I thought it was pretty good though. I mean, with such a cast (Mark Ruffalo, Laura Dern, Peter Krause, Naomi Watts), how can you do wrong ? It was especially pretty neat to see Peter Krause. Around that time, I was binge-watching 'Six Feet Under' with my wife and it was really nice to see this fine actor in a full length feature for once. Apparently, this movie was quite an exception as he has been mostly focusing on TV-shows lately, first with 'Dirty Sexy Money' and later on with 'Parenthood'. Anyway, all the actors involved did a fine job here and the directing was pretty solid as well. Honestly , the story was actually kind of depressing but it is never something that really bothers me. Like I mentionned before, I don't think the story was very amazing or original but the 4 actors were all so good, they made the whole thing rather fascinating to look at. To conclude, I thought it was a decent drama and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.ย
