A watch once movie that did everything well.

There are only 3 categories you need to make a Sword & Sorcery film:

Swords/fighting:

ย +- The fighting was adequate, was sad to see that the powerful sword that could cut through anvils wasn't slicing people in half :(

ย Found it interesting no one threw any rocks or had slings.

Muscles/boobs:

ย + While the main rogue/assassin/thief (Kill Bill guy) was not ripped, the captain of the guards was and left his shirt off for the entire movie.

ย + Good amount of nudity for a Sword and Sorcery movie.

ย + 4 boobed chick

Creative plot/enemies:

ย + All of the acting was actually good, the two villains, princess, bad captain, and the main guy.

ย + Good sets and good design.

ย - Besides a couple of tiny gems, there wasn't much creativeness... Rather bland for a S&S film.

ย + Coherent plot that was easy to follow and good editing (Although at times the scenes would suddenly jump)

For it's budget this film is actually pretty good. It's loosely based off of the idea of A Fistful of Dollars and it works well for this type of genre of film. Kain is basically getting as much cash as he can while he pits two opposing clans against each other that fight for the only water source around.

Naja is the "Sorceress" but she doesn't do much except run around naked, even after she's freed. Yes, after her freedom she still bares her boobs like it's normal. Maybe it is for her but she doesn't appear to be the town slut so I don't get it.

Now, this movie would have been great with a bigger budget but it has one thing I've never seen before.... a.... hot... woman... with... four... boobs!

The Warrior and the Sorceress review

I think it is not fair to criticise any barbarian movies, but - give me a break - this pile stinks! David Carradine is pretty ok, as always, and Maria Socas tries to avoid the tedium well with her topless passivity, but the film just is not interesting enough. Too bad...
