Honestly, the whole thing looked and sounded really terrible, so I thought it would be be pretty bad but, somehow, I still ended up watching it. So even though I was expecting something very lame, to be honestly, I was actually positively surprised. Indeed, obviously, the story was nothing original and, if you have seen a teen comedy before, you pretty much know the drill. In fact, it was actually Ryan Reynolds who made the whole thing stand out and rather worthwhile to watch. Basically, he managed to portray a really genuine character who was quite funny, charming and still 3 dimensional which is something you would seriously never expect in this kind of movies. Since then, in the decade that followed, it was expected that he would become the next best thing but, unfortunately, he has made some serious flops, financially and critically, and it seems that his biggest achievement so far is to have managed to get married not only with Scarlett Johansson but also with Blake Lively which is quite a shame since the guy seems to be actually genuinely talented. To conclude, obviously, it is not a masterpiece whatsoever and it was still way too predictable for me, but if you love this genre, I still think it is worth a look.
