An average movie

Posted : 8 years, 7 months ago on 16 September 2015 09:13

I wasn't really expecting much from this flick but since Nick, my step-son, was quite eager to watch it, I thought we might as well check it out. Well, eventually, I thought it was just really boring. First of all, sure, when I was kid, I grew up watching the cartoon but, to be honest, I never really understood the fascination towards these characters. Anyway, Michael Bay basically pretty much followedย the same approach he used with the Transformers franchise which was to give some visually impressive characters through some cutting-edge CGI and to provide some decent action scenes all combined with a really tedious plot. Seriously, the whole story was just boring and, just like with 'Transformers', they spent half of the time to explain to the viewers how it all happened which wasn't entertaining at all. At least, I did like the new design of those turtles but even the jokes were pretty weak. Concerning Megan Fox, I have to admit that she is still a bombshell but you might wonder why she felt the need for all this plastic surgery as she is slowly turning out into a rather ugly plastic doll. I won't even mention her limited acting skills which have apparently not really improved through the years. Anyway, to conclude, I have seen worse but I still don't think it is really worth a look.

well i have been looking forward to watch this movie and it was a little less than i expected but still entertaining. it was GOOD , not that bad . Turtles should have been more badass. However, it is the start i hope next coming up sequels will be portraying them more badass . Megan Fox was absolutely stunning couldn't take eyes off her for a single second in the scenes she appeared . It was good entertainment . Must watch for Ninja Turtles and Megan Fox fans .

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles review

Posted : 9 years, 6 months ago on 26 October 2014 12:39

I have been wanting to watch this for awhile now. I loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid so this is exciting for me. I'm not one to complain about a movie before I see it unless the trailer points out how awful the movie is. Here I think the trailer looked awesome and the cast itself is pretty good so I see no issues. I also love the director as he hasn't made a single movie I didn't love although others might disagree with me. I loved the turtles and I thought they well portrayed. This is funny and full of great action scenes. The back-story is a bit different, but does it really matter anymore? I would have liked there to be a Casey Jones, but it still did fine without him. I honestly think the turtles looked badass. Yes they were a little over-sized, but why does it matter what their size is as long as they get the job done. I like how the alien plot is mentioned and April is like that's just stupid. They kept the tradition of Raphael wanting to work alone as usual. I think they could have given Shredder more screen time as he isn't the main villain in this for some reason. I honestly don't get the fascination with Megan Fox though. I mean she has a nice body, but her face is weird to me. Besides she doesn't look anything like April either. I loved the classic turtle references that I was hoping to see. I can say that I was not in the least bit disappointed by the director or the ninja turtles themselves. With a few small corrections and additions this could have been a bit better, but I'm not complaining. I don't see what all the hate was about. This was very entertaining and fun to watch. Cowabunga viewers!
