Under Siege Reviews

I already saw this movie but since it was a while back, I thought I might as well give it a second chance. Well, I have to admit that the damned thing actually turned out to be slightly better than I remembered. Indeed, I have always been rather sceptical about Steven Seagal but since I have seen only 1 or 2 flicks with him, maybe I was biased and I thought I should check this flick since it was his biggest success. Eventually, the first time around, I thought the damned thing was just seriously disappointing. However, after this rewatch, I have to admit that it is actually a decent action flick after all. Above all, Seagal was actually not so boring to watch but even the rest of the movie itself worked out actually pretty well. I mean, coming back to Seagal, the guy was and still is really a poor actor but he was actually fairly convincing in this movie. On the bright side, Tommy Lee Jones is usually awesome and he was pretty much pitch-perfect as the bad guy. However, the most memorable scene would still be the one involving Erika Eleniak who would completely steal the show displaying her gorgeous assets. So, eventually, I have seen worse action movies and, even if the damned thing is pretty much ‘Die Hard on a ship’, most of it actually works. Still, it is probably the only flick starring Mr Seagal which turned out to be fairly entertaining so I will probably not watch any of his flicks anytime soon. Anyway, to conclude, all in all, I have to admit that it was not bad at all and it is even actually worth a look, especially if you really love the genre.
