An average movie

Posted : 7 years, 6 months ago on 26 October 2016 09:23

Since this movie was quite successful at the box-office, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, to be honest, even it turned out to be watchable, I still had a hard time to care about the damned thing. The first thing that really bothered me was the fact that, once again, they came up with a couple really struggling with parenthood. Seriously, by now, it has become a really cringe-inducing clichรฉ that I have seen way too many times lately. For once, I would love to see a couple that didn't act as if their life was over from the moment they got some kids. Futhermore, I don't think Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne did have much chemistry and I don't understand why they still try to convince us that someone like Rogen would manage to end up with such a cute girl. Anyway, concerning the rest of the movie, it was filled up with the usual raunchy jokes that you get with this kind of movies, some of them were pretty funny, some others were rather lame. To conclude, I think my rating might have been rather generous here but I guess this movie might be worth a look if you really like the genre or if you think that Seth Rogen is really hilarious.

Seth Rogen plays the same character in every movie

The only thing relatively good about this movie is Dave Franco's debut in a relatively famous comedy and to see that Zac Efron can make people laugh, too. Seth Rogen is still playing Pineapple Express's Dale in every single movie. To sum it all up, the movie looks like Superbad, but the characters here use more weed - and mushrooms.

'Family drama' meets 'Teen party'. An awesome concept that was wasted with the bad casting. I never enjoyed Zac Efron's presence in any movie. I consider him one of the worst, according to my taste in actors and their performances. And again this movie crashed down because of him, otherwise somehow it could have been an enjoyable flick, especially with the stars like Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne in it.

These two guys tried to lift it up, but the other side of the story failed. The two unmatched set of the cast that did not pay off as one as what the audience wanted, the fun. So it is kind of mixed feeling to me about the movie like half enjoyed. The end wide opens for a sequel, if there's one I hope the couple would retain their place, but the rest needs a fresh start, especially not Zac again please.

Neighbors review

I thought the trailers made it look like it should be a fun watch so I decided to check it out. There are many laugh out loud moments. These days I haven't really laughed too much when it comes to comedies. So that in itself is refreshing. Some of the pranks they play on each other are awesome and pretty funny. The ending was a bit unusual. I thought it was a decent movie. I enjoyed it for what it was.
