Two 14-year-old boys, Madiba and Sipho, are playing on the railway line that runs around the Khayelitsha township in South Africa when a body is hurled from a passing train. Inside the dead guy's luggage the kids find a gun and a video camera. Sipho takes the revolver and Madiba the camera, which he hides inside a wooden box to avoid being asked about it as he kicks around filming his environment. With his status enhanced by ownership of the pistol, Sipho becomes a township gang leader before ascending to the bigger game in Cape Town. Guns and butter, guns and cameras. Does the tool shape the destiny of the man?
