Since this movie has a rather lame reputation, I wasn't expecting much but I still ended up watching the damned thing anyway. Well, to be honest, even though I have never cared for Adam Sandler's work, I didn't think it was so awful after all. I mean, sure, it was still pretty lame and not really funny at all but the guy had done much worse in the past and I don't think it was such a bad idea to mix his humor with the Western genre. At least, it was more original than most of his flicks and the cast involved was pretty decent. Helll, I even thought that Taylor Lautern was actually funny. However, as usual with Sandler, the whole thing was still rather misguided. For example, it was so annoying that he gave himself a character who had some kind of super-powers. Seriously, it was just rather pathetic but the other brothers were also all more pathetic and actually really entertaining. The other huge mistake they made was that the damned thing was just so freaking long. Indeed, it could have been almost watchable with a standard 90 mins duration but, unfortunately, it lasted almost 2 hours and the last act was especially so tedious to behold. Anyway, to conclude, I don't think it is one of Sandler's worst efforts but, don't be fooled, it was still really weak and you should rather avoid it. 

It's really difficult to describe how awful this movie is. It's too easy to call it laugh free, lazy, ignorant, etc. But sometimes, the right answers are the easiest ones. Please, don't watch this movie, it's not worth it. It's not even fun to watch in a "so bad it's good" sort of way. It is an abysmal, two hour slog into nothingness that even Sandler can make it through. Seriously, he's so lethargic here that you just wanna give him a pillow and tuck him in. Worst of 2015 by an incredibly wide margin and, in a year that gave us Fantastic 4, Pixels, and Entourage, that's a pretty large achievement.
