The Gingerdead Man review

Posted : 7 years, 8 months ago on 20 August 2016 07:37

Yes I am about to start the Gingerdead Man and Evil Bong series. I definitely know that this will be a mistake, but I am willing to sacrifice my time. Besides there are a few actors in the series that caught my attention. I can say I have never seen a Charles Band film, but I have heard of many of them. William Butler on the other hand has written some terrible films that I've seen. The same goes for Domonic Muir. Anyways let's see just how bad this really is. Wish me luck. Wow the production value makes this looks older than it is. Other than the acting it's actually an interesting opening. These opening credits remind me of a very bland version of the title sequence from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's a bit corny, but I have definitely seen worse acting out there. It's amusing how the chain of events happens. Also I feel they should have shown what happened after the opening scene instead of just mentioning it. Amos is definitely my favorite character. It is really reminiscent of like 70s/80s cheese. The script is like something from a child, but honestly I'd say it's actually sort of entertaining. That is one ugly looking gingerbread man. The girls here are at least attractive enough as to where I'm almost blind to the fact they need work on their acting skills. Over halfway through and the only deaths were a few quick ones in the prologue. Well that was underwhelming. Lol what in the world is up with that?! I swear it's always amusing when people have time to romance when they know what is going on. That's definitely the best kill of the movie. WTF that bit right there was so bad! I couldn't help but laugh. That was probably the most ridiculous part of the whole movie for sure. Okay that is actually an interesting look and kind of reminds me of the vampires from Buffy as well. The ending was a bit lame. Surprisingly it kept me watching. There were maybe two interesting kills in the whole thing though. Now I know it's not great or even good, but you have to admit it's so corny that it can keep you entertained. Anyways it probably won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you are into this sort of film you may end up liking it.
