The Coffin Reviews
The Coffin
Posted : 15 years ago on 9 May 2009 05:12Inspired by a real life custom from Thailand, where people would sleep in a coffin for a specific number of days hoping it would ward away evil and bad luck. A young man and woman decide to perform the ritual. After that, positive things begin to happen but later terror sets in. With the help of a professor specializing in paranormal cases, they set out to exorcise the ghosts that haunt them, attempting to reverse the wheel of karma.

The Coffin
Posted : 15 years ago on 17 April 2009 05:45First of all, the good thing about this Thailand movie is that you can watch it in English. It seems like Asian cinema is going back to the making awesome horror films. Asian Horror was ruling with films like: The Eye, A Tale of Two Sisters, Phone, Shutter, One Missed Call, Re-cycle, Alone, Ju-on, Ringu and Dark Water. They hit a slump with movie after movie of the long-haired female ghost claiming victims. They have recaptured the spotlight with films like: Epitaph, Hansel & Gretel and Death Bell. The Coffin looks awesome. It is nice to see the gorgeous Karen Mok in a serious role.
Anyways, check it yourself.
