Stick It Reviews

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this movie but since I have always been a fan of Jeff Bridges, I thought I might as well check it out. Eventually, I ended up watching the damned thing  with my wife since she really loves gymnastics and I think (or, at least, I hope) she enjoyed it more than I did. Well, even though it does have a decent rating on IMDb, I thought it was pretty weak. Basically, it follows the usual formula that you get with such sport features and I was rather bored by the damned thing. At least, I thought that Missy Peregrym (basically some kind prettier version of Hilary Swank) was quite charismatic but even if this movie didn’t really improve her status, she still managed to work steadily afterwards, usually in some TV-shows like ‘Rookie Blue’. Eventually, it was a rather weird to see Jeff Bridges in a movie like this one, especially when you think that he would eventually win an Academy Award for the Best Actor just a few years later. At least, he did his best but this movie was rather lame. To conclude, I really didn’t care much for the damned thing and I don’t think it is really worth a look.
