Too americanized visit to 1925 Damasco,with cosmopolitan restaurants where women go at night.Bah. It lacks feeling of exotism. At least Marta Toren is a exotic swedish, Bogey is himself and Sloanne is always OK.

Set in the 1925 Syrian uprising against the French, this is a little classic of a film with Humphrey Bogart as Harry Smith being able to 'supply' the Syrian rebels with firepower and information they require.
A gripping story for its time just showing how the French were tackling the Syrian uprising.
