Se vende un tranvía (1959)

Posted : 12 years, 2 months ago on 8 March 2012 12:24

Funny short film that is the spitting image of an era. Written, among others, the magnificent tandem Spanish filmmakers Luis Garcia Berlanga composed and screenwriter Rafael Azcona, which led to masterpieces of Spanish cinema as "Plácido" or "El verdugo". In this short Berlanga and Azcona collaborated for the first time, and it fits into the kind of 'berlanguiana' vision, after the war. tells the story of one Julian, a seedy hustler who tries to put a tram to a rich and uneducated farmer. social criticism, tinged with farce with its anticlerical point are the notes of the story.

In the beginning was to be part of a series that would be titled "Los pícaros", which eventually fell through.
