And now back to the main Buddies series. It's the same writing/directing duo once again. Santa has been recast three times now. Some characters have returned from old installments. The casting is a bit jumbled around like usual for these films. Anyways let's get this show on the road. So there is only one Santa pup in this one. You would think having the same writer and director every movie would mean they could be more consistent with things. Yeah that sounds a lot like Scrooge. Christopher Lloyd as the villain is definitely a step up for the series though. I like this version of the naughty list. It seems even though this is called Santa Buddies it feels more of Puppy Paws story. The CGI here is pretty bad and gives an icky feeling. Does Christmas mean that the movie has to have music? Is that how he opens doors? That was an interesting montage. Do they really put that out for Christmas in Mexico? The ending was alright. It's pretty corny. At least they didn't do the pulling the paw gag again this time. Just a slightly below average watch if you ask me.
