"Not a bad movie, but it was too noisy and the direction was a bit weird. Also, I don't think it was a good idea to keep the original script with the set being nowadays, it felt too awkward."
“I actually already saw this movie but since it was a while back and since I had it on DVD, I thought I might as well check it out again. When it was released, it was a little bit controversial since they took a classic Shakesperean play but set it in our modern time with a very flashy directing style. Eventually, this bet paid off, it turned out to be quite successful and many similar adaptations followed but, except for '10 Things I Hate About You', none of them really worked, I'm afraid. Coming back to our main feature, they took another big risk by keeping the original text of the play and, even after re-watching it today, I'm still not sure if it was really a wise choice.
