This movie has it all, its just amazing!

Yes this is a very simple, predictable movie with a story that we have seen before. However I loved this movie! The animation is colorful, bright, and well done. The voice cast was excellent and funny which really gave this movie a huge boost. The music was really nice and catchy. The dialogue was nice and the story to be honest wasn't that bad but it stop the movie from reaching full flight. Director Carlos Saldanha has really improved his game here since his last animated effort Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. This is just as good as the first Ice Age and it's fun for all the ages.

Overall, a great watch and visually fantastic. The story is a recycled script from various movies throughout history. Great for kids, many funny moments for the adults that bring their kids. I watched it in 3D and it could have gone either way, not necessary to the movie itself. I suggest seeing it when it is out on DVD for 10 dollars in 2 months.

To be honest, I wasn' really expecting much from this flick but, somehow, we still ended up watching the damned thing in the movie theater when it was released. For some reason beyond me, Nick, my step-son, actually really loved it, he saw it again maybe twice in the movie theater and even ended up buying this movie on DVD. Well, to be honest, even though I thought it was a decent watch, I can't say I was really blown away like him. I mean, sure, I thought it was a really gorgeous animated movie, that was really the strongest point of this picture. However, I was maybe laughing only a few times during the whole thing and, to be honest, the story was really generic and predictable. In fact, even though it was fairly entertaining, the plot and the characters involved were actually pretty weak. There was one thing that I kept wondering while watching this movie though. Indeed, I know there are many Brazialian members in Listal and I wonder what they would actually think of it. Indeed, is it actually faithful or stereotypical concerning the Brazialian culture and their way of life? Anyway, to conclude, in spite of its flaws, it was still a decent animated feature and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
