Race the Sun Reviews

As you may have noticed, I’m rather obsessive concerning my movie watching and sometimes , I ended up watching some pretty obscure movies just because one actor I like is involved. This movie is one perfect example. Indeed, I basically watch it only because Halle Berry was in it. To be honest, I definitely have a weak spot for this actress but, expect for 'Monster's ball', none of her movies are actually that great (even those X-Men flicks, I’m sorry). Eventually, this movie might be the worst with Halle Berry I have seen so far as it was just really terrible. First of all, there was James Belushi involved, which is never a good sign. Furthermore, the story was so generic, predictable and just plain boring as hell. It follows the usual pattern of the controversial teacher who ends up with some misfits but, at the end, they all get along and overcome all the obstacles… I found rather funny to see that Casey Affleck was also involved in this debacle when nowadays he is definitely one of the most interesting actors at work. Casey Affleck went on record saying that ‘Drowning Mona’ and ‘Soul Survivors’ were his worst movies but I’m surprised he didn’t mention this tedious flick as well. To conclude, it's just a another bad movie starring Halle Berry and it is not worth a look whatsoever.
