Description:
Mrs. Takács, a widow and a postmistress living in the country, is about to marry her two daughters. Teri, the elder of the two sisters, would be the first to marry, but she is off to Pest, taking her dowry, 5000 pengoes, sewed in a chequered coat. She wants to buy a pension known as "Better here than home", which she wants to run so that it might become a flourishing business. The place swarms with guests unwilling to pay.
