Open House Reviews

"Open House" is a movie I started and never finished last year. I didn't have much interest in finishing it, but finally decided I should. Overall, it's not completely terrible, but I did not like Brian Geraghty ("David"), he just looked really odd every time he was on screen, which was often. I was glad that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were killed off quite early on, as she really annoys me in general, and I didn't really think either of them were any good. Tricia Helfer was decent enough, the script was okay, and the movie was definitely better than a lot of horror/suspense movies I have endured lately. However, as a whole, it adds nothing to the genre, it's not one you're likely to remember or care to watch, none of the actors really stood out, and I know most of them are capable of better. And the way it all ended, really...disappointing.
