One Night at McCool's Reviews

To be honest, it has been a while since I have seen this flick. In fact, I have never noticed it before but this movie is actually quite similar to ‘There is something about Mary’, a supposedly classic comedy which I found fairly entertaining but not really mind-blowing. So, obviously, I can’t say I was completely sold by this feature but, for what it was, I thought it was still a decent watch. First of all, I think it is always a blast to see Michael Douglas, of all people, showing up in such a daft comedy and the guy really stole the show in my opinion. Another interesting thing about this flick is how it created a sex bomb character out of Liv Tyler. I mean, 10 years later, considering how underwhelming her career has become, it might seem like an odd idea but, back then, it definitely made sense and she was completely convincing in this part. To be honest, I thought she was in fact better suited for a character like this then Cameron Diaz for the so-called irresistible Mary. To conclude, it is nothing amazing whatsoever, but I thought it is a fun comedy and it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
