My Stepmother Is an Alien Reviews

I had no idea what to expect from this flick but, somehow, I still ended up watching it. In my opinion, the best thing about this movie was the title. With such a title, the makers put themselves quite under pressure and you could be sure even before watching it that it would be either a totally whack and surrealist piece of work or just another lame and underwhelming comedy. Unfortunately, this movie definitely belonged to the 2nd category and it's too bad because the whole thing really had some potential. Indeed, even though Kim Basinger is far from being a great actress, at least, she did her best and she was not bad at all but I never found her or her character really hilarious. On the other hand , Dan Aykroyd did his usual goofy act and wasn't really funny either. Eventually, the main issue here was that the whole thing was just too predictable and, above all, not really funny whatsoever. Maybe I was a fool to expect anything from this. Anyway, to conclude, it is not a really bad movie but, at the end of the day, it is still pretty damned average and I don’t think it is really worth a look.
