Description:
In France, when Cecile runs away with Felix, a musician, but does not marry him, her infuriated uncle has Felix thrown in prison and drags Cecile back home. She runs away again, however, this time to Paris, where, under the tutelage of Lecoq, the director of the Grand Opera, she becomes a prima ballerina. Meanwhile, Felix, now out of jail, finishes an opera and, after sending it to Lecoq, learns that it has become a Paris sensation, and that Lecoq claims to be its author. Felix finally coerces Lecoq into admitting his plagiarism, and then goes to confront Cecile, who he believes deserted him. He finds that she has suffered a foo
