Lord of the Flies Reviews

There are many bad remakes, and this is one of them. 'Lord of the Flies' is a remake of a 1963 movie based on the novel by William Golding where a bunch of British schoolboys end up on an island. In this version, the boys are American and from a military school.

I've seen Americanization before, but this movie has too many differences. This is just boys squabbling, fighting and killing each other. Not much else happens except for a pig's head being put on a spear and Piggy (Danuel Pipoly)'s glasses being broken and him crying in one of the most annoying ways!

I'm not one of the only people who hated it. Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel didn't like it either! This movie features annoying chemistry between the two enemy groups and nothing interesting! The ending doesn't really make much sense! Ralph (Balthazar Getty) runs into warship officers! We don't hear any arrivals, I mean in the sky appears a helicopter. It's like the sound device broke for loud noises!
