Kung Fu Panda 3 review

It's a fine movie. The characters are the same, the new characters don't add something new to the franchise but they are likable. The villain was forgettable and the story was clumsy

Kung Fu Panda 3 review

I highly enjoyed the first one. The second one was decent. I'm not sure how I feel about there being a third one. I'm going to watching it though, since I can't leave a story unfinished. Jennifer Yuh returns to director's chair once again. This time she is joined by unknown director Alessandro Carloni. Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger have been the continuous writers for the entire trilogy. They are also the ones who came up with middle two Alvin and the Chipmunk movies unfortunately. There are many returning voices from both of the previous movies as well as a few new ones. Four of Angelina Jolie's kids have parts here lord. Bryan Cranston and J.K. Simmons join the cast which is awesome! Well that's a fun way to do the Dreamworks logo. The CGI here is actually pretty excellent. That was one unique fight sequence. Well that was amusing. The gags are pretty amusing throughout. There are some great fights here for sure. Aww that's actually kind of sad. That is a really impressive creation. That final fight was actually pretty cool. The ending was pretty cute. I liked the addition of one of the most well known kung fu songs. It's actually pretty short. It's definitely a step up from the previous film. There really isn't much else to say without saying what exactly happens in this. I definitely recommend giving this a shot.

An average movie

My kids really wanted to see this movie (especially my step-son, as the first installment  was the 2nd movie we went to see together when he was just about 10 years old) and since I kept hearing some pretty good things about the damned thing, I was also quite eager to check it out. Eventually, even though it was a decent watch, it didn't really blow me away and I thought it was a slight step down from the previous installment which remains the best in this franchise. Still, I have to admit it, the whole thing really did look amazing and, in my opinion, it is the most gorgeous animated feature produced by Dreamworks so far. Seriously, it was really impressive and even the 3D which is always underwhelming in this genre was pretty neat here. Unfortunately, even though visually it worked really well,  I can’t say I really cared about the story though. I mean, it was fairly entertaining and Kai  was a really badass villain, their best one so far, but, to be honest, it was still nothing really amazing though. Anyway, to conclude, even though it wasn’t really awesome, it was still not bad at all and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
