Knocked Up (2007) Reviews

Since I kept hearing good things about this flick, I was really eager to check it out. Eventually, I thought it was a really fun and entertaining comedy. Indeed, Seth Rogen and his buddies were really hilarious and I was completely able to relate with them. On the other hand, I was not so wild about Katherine Heigl. The point is that, everytime I see her in a movie, I think she looks nice and all but that's it and I'd rather have a funny actress instead. Anyway, the story was pretty good with some awesome funny scenes in between but there was one thing that really bothered me though. Honestly, when you think about it for a few minutes, it is actually quite unbelievable and unrealistic that such a girl would end up with Seth Rogen. I mean, yeah sure, it is very sweet but not really realistic in my opinion. Actually, it is something inherent to most of the movies involving Judd Apatow, they involve some nerds and gigs as main character, which is quite refreshing, but it is also pretty obvious that those movies are some nerd wet dreams involving them with some hot chicks completely out of their league. To conclude, I don’t it is a masterpiece but it is an enjoyable and entertaining flick and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.

It was quite refreshing to see people you might know in a movie. All the characters were people you would be willing to be friends with, and there were no bad guys. Just people who found themselves in realistic situations that hadn't come out to plan. And as life rarely goes as planned, one can relate. Even the silly people (the E! staff, doctors, her mother) were interesting and reasonable. Although we all know it's going to have a happy ending, you never knew exactly what the next scene was. It was a fun romp through people's lives. Very likable.

This movie was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't too sure about it from the previews, but it turned out to be a very funny movie. I laughed and had a great time watching this one. The laughs start at the beginning of the movie and don't end until the end.

This one is an adult comedy and isn't one to bring the kids to watch with you. There are a lot of jokes and material that younger kids will not understand. Leave them at home and take your date out for a fun time. Be prepared for a belly ache at the end of this one. :)~
