For once, we went to see a comedy with the film club but, to be honest, I'm afraid I wasn't really in the right mood to really enjoy it.  I mean, I always have a hard time to enjoy this genre because most comedies are about some stupid people doing something stupid supposedly to some hilarious effect. Still, I have to admit that this one was decent but I can't say I really connected with it. Basically, I thought it was rather oddly constructed. Indeed, the makers came up with a whole bunch of ideas and they just threw all those ideas, good or bad, in the mix and the end-result was pretty random and messy. For example, I was never convinced that such a band would manage to get a concert tour in the US and to go on after the lead singer was dead was also rather far-fetched. Furthermore, you get introduced to some characters (even some members of the band) who just vanishes without much of an explanation. Still, I have to admit that it was sometimes quite hilarious and  the characters were very well developed thanks to some good performances. Finally, the last act taking place taking place in some kind of Inuit city was pure gold. To conclude, even though it didn't really convince me, it was still a decent watch and it is definitely worth a look.
