Hop Reviews

BLAAAAH!

Posted : 11 years, 6 months ago on 7 October 2012 05:53

This movie ruined my 2011 Easter! It's very stupid, extremly lame, terribly boring, and the music was awful! I'm guessing 5 year olds enjoyed this movie, but since i'm a young adult,I didn't enjoy this movie!

Me:Alright, time to go to bed, before your parents get home!

5 year old:WHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! I have a question!

Me:OK,what is it?!

5 year old:Can we watch the Hop DVD before we go to bed!

Me:OH LORD NO! THAT WAS A CRAPPY MOVIE! I FELT LIKE I WAS WATCHING THAT HORRIBLE SITCOM EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS WHEN I FIRST SAW HOP!

5 year old:PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE?!

Me:NO!

5 year old:Pretty please?!

Me:Don't give me that pathetic excuse!

5 year old:Pretty please with egg rolls, sprinkles,a scoop of vanilia, chocolate syrup, peanuts, and whipped cream on top?

Me:Please just shut up,and go to bed.

5 year old:Awwww....

THANK GOD that Sony Pictures Animation came up with The Lorax, and put it in theaters this year! That (along with Dispicable Me and Hotel Transylvannia) was a great movie! But god forebid SPA makes a movie like Hop again they have two choices.

A.They can make a good movie to make up for it.

Or...

B.Stop making CGI movies foreva!

An average movie

I didn't have some high expectations concerning this movie but since my step-daugther brought the DVD home, I thought I should give it a try anyway. Eventually, the only positive thing I can say about it was that it was not as bad as 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' which was just really terrible. At least, the animation looked pretty good as well, I have to admit it. Unfortunately, there was nothing else to enjoy about this movie and the story was especially really idiotic. I mean, to make a family feature about the Easter Bunny, why not? To make it about the Easter Bunny who wants to become a drummer was kind of lame but to make it about a guy who literally wants to become the actual Easter bunny... That was just so stupid and completely ridiculous. Of course, my 6 year old daughter enjoyed it but young children would enjoy anything because they find it so neat to watch a movie, especially when grown-ups are watching as well. Furthermore, combining live action and animation is not necessarily a bad idea but if the only thing they can come up with is this movie and 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' than it is not really worth the trouble at all. Anyway, to conclude, even though the animation did look pretty good, it was rather lame and it is not really worth a look, even for young kids.

It reeks like an easter egg!

This is a horrible movie.I decided to go see it on Easter Day last year and I wanted to blow my brains out! It is the worst animated movie ever (well some parts were live atcion). In fact we all (me,mom, dad, little sister, big brother) hated it.Animation/backround:AHH MY EYES! The animation was a bit TOO bright and colorful.I thought I was gonna go blind! Music:terrible. The theme song was so loud and annoying! It sounded slighty even louder than the theme song in the movie Rango.I hated that movie too.Characters:soo lame. The peopler in the movie make me sick! I hate them because they do nothing to make me care for them.Plot:crappy.Its about a teenage bunny who goes and lives with a man (can't remember the name.)Awful,I know.Bottomline:the video called "CHUCK E CHEESE:MOLESTING CHILLDREN SINCE 1977" on YouTube is way better than this garbage.

Hop review

Taken at surface value, as a purely light-hearted movie geared toward families and children especially, "Hop" was a good movie. When I went with my child, the theatre was packed full of families who all seemed to enjoy the movie. There was lots of laughter, and I wouldn't mind being subjected to this movie a few more times. Yes, the story isn't one of the best, but come on - it's a holiday themed movie for kids. And for that, it's pretty good. I didn't go in with super high unrealistic expectations, but I wasn't disappointed in any way by this movie, nor did I feel it was a waste of my time and money. I don't understand the hate for this flick, as there are definitely ones out there that are very deserving of such trash-talking, but "Hop" isn't one of them.
