Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver review

Posted : 7 years, 9 months ago on 21 August 2016 05:49

So I'm now about to watch part three of the series which I hear is better than part two. I mean it deals with time travel which hasn't been a concept done for slasher series. Robin Sydney returns as a new character as well as Junie Hoang who had a small part in part two. William Butler returns as the writer/director. This time he put his name as the director as well as his pen. Muffy Bolding returns to co-write as well. So the opening is pretty amusing. It's a silly but fun idea. The voice of Gingerdead Man has an accent now and is also played by the director. They really should have stuck with practical effects. Also I don't like the new look of the Gingerdead Man. Wow they used the same song for the opening credits as the previous film. God I cannot get used to that new design. All the little bits of horror parody throughout is actually fairly amusing. Well that was interesting. It gave me Toxic Avenger vibes. I don't get why she did that though. Haha that Porky's reference though. That is so wrong. They really should have kept CGI out of this. Thank goodness they did that. Good lord this ending is so ridiculous yet it's just the right amount of cheese. I'm pretty sure though that time is extremely screwed up though. The disco dancing is actually really well done. This one had the most likable characters so far. The CGI shouldn't have been included, but the death scenes were interesting enough. It may even be a bit more enjoyable than the first one. It's definitely not something everyone will like. Many people probably have to be high or something to watch this stuff. Anyways enter this series at your own risk.
