An underrated movie

Posted : 13 years, 8 months ago on 20 August 2010 08:47

Personally, I have never been a fan of the Farelly brothers' work and this is one of the least know movies made by them. Eventually, it turned out to be the best one I have seen so far. Recently, I was told it is actually a remake of a movie starring Colin Firth. I was also told that the original version is actually a much better movie and I will definitely check it out when I have the opportunity. Anyway, in this remake, i thought there was a good chemistry between Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon. What I love about this movie, is that it describes a realistic romantic relationship. The guy loves baseball but she doesn't. The girl has a busy job and he can't see her all the time he would like to. Guess what happen at the end ? They just accept this and love each other in spite of all those complications. Ok, it doesn't really sound romantic but it is, really. I have to admit, a re-watch might eventually drop my rating but I just really liked this movie the first time around. To conclude, I think it is a really underrated flick, a very good romantic-comedy and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.

Sell Out

Speaking of selling out, I will tell you the only movie that will sell out the Red Sox name and not sellout any seats in theatres, Fever Pitch. A title so bad it almost dwarfs Jimmy Fallonรขย€ย™s talent as an actor. I mean, if you are going for bad, where was Ben Affleck? I am sure Matt Damon could have won the role of Drew Barrymore.
