“To be honest, even though I have heard about this very famous book, I have actually never read it and the main reason I wanted to check this movie was above all because it was directed by François Truffaut, one of the greatest French directors ever. This movie was a huge step for Truffaut as it would be his first (and only) English speaking production. On top of that, he was working with the lovely and very talented Julie Christie which made the whole thing even more intriguing. Eventually, the whole thing was not bad at all but it didn't turn out be one of Truffaut’s best movies, I’m afraid.
