To be honest, it seemed to be another rather lame comedy with Eddie Murphy so I had some rather low expectations towards the damned thing. Well, even though this movie has a rather lame reputation, I have to admit that I have actually seen worse movies starring Eddie Murphy. Indeed, at least, it was a rather harmless family feature. Still, it doesn’t mean that it was a good movie, far from it. The tricky thing with such material is that it didn’t really work with Eddie Murphy’s humor in my opinion. Indeed, as a result, the guy had to down his humor. Well, as far as I’m concerned, I would rather have the guy swearing the whole way through than trying to convince us he could run such a day care center. Eventually, 4 years later, they would release a sequel with Cuba Gooding Jr. replacing Murphy in the lead and since it seemed to be even more abysmal, I just skipped the damned thing. Anyway, coming back to our main feature, to conclude, even if it could have been worse, it was still pretty weak and it is definitely not worth a look, like most of the movies starring Eddy Murphy during the last 20 years.

Bring Back the 80s...Please!

Self-proclaimed family man Eddie Murphy is proving that you don't have to be "Raw" to make a successful movie. With Hollywood straped to his fanny pack, Murphy has molded himself into the quintessential kids movie enthusiast. And aside for his family, Murphy has also become a role-model for actors like Vin Diesel (The Pacifier) who want to turn their careers around (ha ha). With that being said, look no further than Daddy Day Care for your fun night at home.
PS - I am being cynical, the movie sucked.
