Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland review

Posted : 8 years, 2 months ago on 3 March 2016 10:28

So on a Netflix binge I had watched the Blue Mountain State series rather quickly. I thought it was hilarious in the most awkward ways. The characters were hilarious and awesome. I think I decided to watch the series in part so I could watch this. I love that some of the characters who disappeared from the show return for the movie. That's always wonderful. Lev L. Spiro stays on as the director here. Even Eric Falconer and Chris Romano write like usual. I think the only difference is that Alan Ritchson also takes on some of the writing. Ah the opening narrative is a nice throwback. I swear Alan Ritchson knows how to make some interesting and different facial expressions. I wish I could wake up like that every day! Oh wow lol! Ah good ole fashioned Thad. Interesting so Jo Jo is gone and Larry is the new assistant coach. Yeah I think that has to be the opposite of cheering. I swear I should go to Blue Mountain State I think I would fit in with the humor. Cocaine the Thad kryptonite. OMG Chris Romano that was wrong yet I am not surprised. Interesting song. Thadland looks insane and I think I would go. I do like the moments where things are normal instead of always riddled with the silly humor. Donnie just got some mad respect for that. I kind of figured that would happen lol! You know it's bad news when Thad catches you being stupid. OMFG that threesome scene is probably one of the most hilarious scenes so far! Hell yeah about time he showed up! Are you serious?! That's insane, genius, and disgusting lol. Oh Thad you big, beautiful dork! Sammy good lord man! Okay that was crazy. It's about time that happened. I thought that scene would go another way. That was not unexpected, but it was amusing. More Radon and Shiloh would have been great. It was good to see them all again. The movie is a nice follow up to the series as well. It's not as great as I thought it would be though. A one time watch is worth it.
