An average movie

Posted : 12 years ago on 6 May 2012 11:58

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since Barry Sonnenfeld has a few nice movies and since there was an interesting cast (expect the always dreadful Tim Allen), I still wanted to check it out. Indeed, Sonnefeld had some success as a director with 'Men in black' and 'The Addams Familly' but this flick was definitely one of his biggest flops. After watching this movie, I can't say it was a surprise. Indeed, the cast was not bad (Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Zooey Deschanel, Sofia Vergara,...) but the plot was just really tedious and it follows the incredible list of boring flicks starring Tim Allen. Indeed, by now, I have seen about half of his movies and most of (all of ?) of them were amazingly tedious to watch. I really don't understand why he is so popular but the fact that most of his flicks don't score well at the box-office convince me that I'm not the only one thinking that way. To conclude, even though it is not even one of the worst movies starring Tim Allen, it is still a really average comedy and it is not really worth a look whatsoever.

I wasted 20 minutes of my life on this

Posted : 16 years, 12 months ago on 22 May 2007 03:45

I want 20 minutes of my life back. That's how long I lasted before I had clued in this is pure retardation at its worst and shut the movie off. I should've known better; same director as MIB:2 and Wild Wild West? Tim Allen is the leading actor?

The movie starts off with a bunch of things happening to bunch of different people, and I bet they are all cleverly mixed up and all their paths cross later on, but everything that was happening was completely lame, predictable, corny, idiotic. And the jokes were simply moronic. Boss: "I want something in here by end of today!" while pointing at computer monitor. Tim Allen stands on desk and says "you can have this now!" as he inserts his foot into the screen. no, i'm not making this up. yes, it is that retarded.

avoid at all costs.
