Actors Reviews

Well, basically, it is another obscure French movie that almost no one has seen here on Listal (apparently, only 3 other Listal members have rated this movie so far).  In fact, I actually saw the damned thing in the movie theater when it was released. Well, on paper, the whole thing sounded quite amazing.  Indeed, this time around, Bertrand Blier, one of the most interesting French directors at the time, came up with some feature involving pretty much everything single famous French actor. Unfortunately, even though you might have expected something like a French version of ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, the whole thing turned out to be rather underwhelming after all. The main issue is that, beside the fact that it was really fun to see all these famous actors all together, this movie didn’t have much else to offer, I’m afraid, and I wish they at least tried to develop something to tell around all these actors. Apparently, Blier was actually planning to come up with a follow-up focusing this time on French actresses but since this movie didn’t become such a huge success, he apparently cancelled the whole thing. Anyway, to conclude, even though this feature didn’t really fulfill my expectations, in spite of its flaws, I still think it is worth a look, especially if you are interested in French movies.
