The World of the Bog (A láp virága) (1943)

Miklós Pálfalvy, an irresponsible young man, son of a well-to-do landowner, gets involved in a case of bill forgery. The forged bills of exchange are seized by Mihályi, a banker and the young man’s future father-in-law, who uses it to blackmail Miklós. The young man breaks ties with the Mihályi family and decides to go abroad, taking with him what is left of his money. Before he leaves, he goes to see Jessy, a nice-looking florist girl, someone he has been attracted to for some time now. They spend a happy day together.
