Description: Monalisa Basarab (born on 23 April 1972, Tulcea) she is a Romanian theatre and movie actress. Graduate of „Babes-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca, class 1995, the Faculty of Theatre and Television, Department: The Art of Actors, prof. Sorana Coroamă Stanca, performs between - 1995 and 1998 - on the stage of Oradea State Theatre. She made her first appearance with the role Ana in „Take, Yanke and Kadyr” by Victor Ion Popa („Take, Ianke și Cadâr” in Romanian), directed by Mihai Fotino. During 2000 and 2002 she collaborated with the theatres in Bucharest: the „I.L.Caragiale” National Theatre and Nottara T Monalisa Basarab (born on 23 April 1972, Tulcea) she is a Romanian theatre and movie actress.

Graduate of „Babes-Bolyai” University in Cluj-Napoca, class 1995, the Faculty of Theatre and Television, Department: The Art of Actors, prof. Sorana Coroamă Stanca, performs between - 1995 and 1998 - on the stage of Oradea State Theatre. She made her first appearance with the role Ana in „Take, Yanke and Kadyr” by Victor Ion Popa („Take, Ianke și Cadâr” in Romanian), directed by Mihai Fotino.

During 2000 and 2002 she collaborated with the theatres in Bucharest: the „I.L.Caragiale” National Theatre and Nottara Theatre.

Starting with 2002 and until now she is actress at the „Constantin Tanase” Variety Theatre, in Bucharest, the most representative genre theatre in Romania.

She made her first appearance in a movie in 1999 with the production Zdf/Arte/Ifage Wiesbaden: „Nostradamus-Prophet of Doom” in series „Sphinx-Secrets of the History” directed by Klein Günther („Nostradamus-Prophet des Untergangs” in series „Sphinx-Geheimnisse der Geschichte” in German), where she plays the role of Nostradamus’ wife.

In the feature film „The Way I Spent the End of the World” („Cum mi-am petrecut sfârșitul lumii” in Romanian) (2006) - directed by Cătălin Mitulescu, where she plays the role of a choir teacher.

Appearances in TV shows and commercials: „Easter varieties ”, „At party with Nae and Vasile”, „Five Stars Stars”; „Coronița Sugar ”, „Ulvex oil”, „Värisilmä”.
