Across her career Mischaela has graced 25+ fashion magazine covers across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Ukraine, the Baltics, Russia, India, and Japan - including New York, Paris, and Milan's top fashion glossies: Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, & Grazia respectively. Layouts include fashion magazines across the USA, Europe, LATAM, Australia, and Asia - most notably VOGUE, VOGUE Italia, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Glamour France, Lucky, Harper's Bazaar, and Ocean Drive
Her modeling career began in 2008 and took off in 2009 when she was 1 of 3 models out of 300+ to receive an agency callback at the Elite Model Management "New Faces Model Call" competition. She was developed by Spain's prestigious BARCINO Model Agency's Model Academy and trained in runway by Mandy Dyonne - runway trainer for the Chanel, Dior, Prada, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and Elite Model Look runways.
She was crowned Miss Peru and later Ms. Universe 2021. Her Ms. Universe swimsuit score was 399.64 out of 400 points, 4/10ths of a point away from a perfect, unanimous perfect 10 across all 40 judges.
A multi-titled beauty queen, she trained with the high-scoring grand slam winning Miss India team in Bombay at "The Refinery Academy" and was mentored by two former Miss Universe titleholders: Natalie Glebova (Miss Universe 2005) in public speaking, deportment & body language, projection, and winning mindset and Catriona Gray (Miss Universe 2018) trained her in public image, media communications, and international titleholder soft skills after Mischaela won Ms. Universe in 2021.
In 2022, she competed at Miss Global 2022 representing the title of "Miss Indigenous America", becoming the first woman to carry a national level Indigenous or Native American title into an International level beauty competition. She received Top 10 and Top 5 distinctions, and received Miss Goodwill and Miss Runway superlatives.
Due to her high fashion work, lasting modeling career, and representation on the international beauty pageant stage, she is referred to in the media as one of the "Indigenous Supermodels".
She is the first and only Miss Peru to be a member of MENSA High IQ society, and largely regarded as the only international titleholder to be a member of MENSA. Her official biography as a model and beauty queen is part of the United States Library of Congress collection.
