Michael Newman was an American actor known for his role as Newmie on "Baywatch". He was the only cast-member of the show who actually worked as an L.A. County lifeguard, having entered this profession at the age of 10 (he was a Santa Monica Junior Lifeguard). Newman also worked as a firefighter.
