Meegwun was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada. From age two to thirteen, he lived up on many First Nations communities across Northern Ontario. Meegwun grew up hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors while taking part in many Ojibway cultural practices. Dancing, singing and art were always a part of his life. His other love: Movies. He was always taking his friends up the river by canoe and into the woods to act out all of the movies he had recently watched.
After leaving the First Nations communities, he completed high school in Kenora, Ontario before being accepted into the acting conservatory at York University in 2005. T
