Mário Jorge Lobo Zagallo (born 9 August 1931) is a Brazilian former football player and manager who played as a forward. He was the first footballer to win the FIFA World Cup both as a manager and as a player, 1958 FIFA World Cup and 1962 FIFA World Cup as a player, the 1970 FIFA World Cup as a manager and the 1994 FIFA World Cup as an assistant manager. In 1992, for his contributions to association football, Zagallo became the recipient of the FIFA Order of Merit, the highest honour awarded by FIFA.
