Maria May is a trilingual actress, singer, dancer and musician. Maria was born in Barcelona, Spain and moved to the United States when she was six with her mother, a single parent and two-time immigrant originally from the former Soviet republic Georgia. Maria speaks English, Spanish, and Georgian.
At age 13, she made her Broadway debut in "Billy Elliot the Musical" as a ballet girl on pointe. Most recently, Maria shot a national commercial for an upcoming Gluten-free "Cheerios" campaign and can also be seen in a national commercial for "Stouffer's" mac and cheese.

This year, Maria was nominated as Best Actress in a Short Film by the Austin Revolution Film Festival and the International World Cinema Festivals of both London and Madrid for her performance in "If the Trees Could Talk", a supernatural short film on the Holocaust directed by Michael Weinstein.
Earlier this year, Maria shot two episodes of ABC’s "What Would You Do?" hosted by John Quiñones, and played "Young Maria" to Shannen Doherty's role of “Maria” in feature film "Back in the Day" (post prod.), directed by Paul Borghese. Maria plays the voice of “Hop" the Squirrel in season one of Nick Jr.’s "Zack and Quack".
Maria is a proud member of Actors' Equity, SAG-AFTRA, and AGVA. She is self-taught in graphic design and holds interests in fine arts, videography, and photography (specifically focused on animal and women's rights).
She most recently wrapped a co-star role on Sara Bareilles and J.J. Abrams' musical dramedy for Apple TV, directed by WAITRESS book writer, Jessie Nelson. She plays piano, acoustic/electric guitar, ukulele, djembe, basic drums, and violin, and has been writing music for over five years.
