2016 (Sophomore Year): During her sophomore year at Arizona, Maddy competed in all 13 meets of the season, with 12 of the 13 having competed in vault, beam, and floor. In the home opener against Michigan State on January 8th she earned a 9.825 on vault. Competing against UCLA on January 23rd she scored a big 9.875 on balance beam. 2016 (Sophomore Year): During her sophomore year at Arizona, Maddy competed in all 13 meets of the season, with 12 of the 13 having competed in vault, beam, and floor. In the home opener against Michigan State on January 8th she earned a 9.825 on vault. Competing against UCLA on January 23rd she scored a big 9.875 on balance beam. Maddy won beam while at ASU after earning a career high of 9.900 on February 22nd, and received a season high of 9.825 on floor vs. Washington on February 27th. In her sophomore year Madison was also named a Scholastic All-American and a Pac-12 All-Academic Second team.
2015 (Freshman Year): Her freshman year at Arizona, Madison Cindric competed in all 13 meets. In the opening meet against Alabama on January 9th, Maddy scored a 9.750 on vault, a 9.675 on beam, and a 9.725 on floor. At the first home meet of the season against Sacramento State, Wisconsin-Stout, and UIC on January 16th, Maddy earned a 9.575 on vault, 9.750 on beam and 9.825 on floor. On January 19th she posted a career high of 9.775 on beam vs. UCLA, and tied her career high at Washington on January 24th. While facing off against rivals Arizona State, Maddy scored a career high on beam with a 9.850. At Texas Womenโs University on March 8th, she earned a career high on both vault and floor with scores of 9.850 on each. She earned a 39.275 at the Pac-12 Championships in 2015.
Club/High School: Madison attended Bridgeway Homeschool Academy while training with her club gymnastics team Texas Dreams for five years. In 2011, she was a level 10 Junior Olympic National Qualifier and in 2012 Madison became the level 10 State champion of both beam and upper bars. In 2013 she was the level 10 regional beam champion, was a Junior Olympic team member, and placed 3rd in the All-Around of the Junior Olympic National competition.
Personal: While born in Newark, Delaware, Madison Cindric grew up in Lanton, Texas. There she lived with her mom, Julie, her dad, Tom, and her two sisters Taylor and Ainsley. Her hobbies outside of gymnastics include shopping and cheering on the Pittsburg Steelers football team. Before coming to The University of Arizona, Madison was homeschooled from 5th to 12th grade. Now as an upperclassman, she is majoring in sociology with a minor in sports management. She hopes to become a sports administrator one day.
