The London born actress and vocalist Madge Lessing (1862-1935) made her debut on the London stage at Drury Lane in 1900 and regularly performed in Paris, New York and Berlin at the Metropol.
Shows included, Ermine at the Casino, New York (1903), Sergeant Bruce, Prince of Wales’s Theatre, London, (1904), The Prince of Pilsen (1907/8) in Paris and Halloh! (1909) at the Berlin Metropol. Lessing was also dance partner to Will Bishop in the Berlin Metropol revue ‘Chauffeur-ins Metropol’ in 1912.
