Life
Luise Heyer grew up in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. During her school years, she lived in Denmark for a year. She graduated from the Pasteur Gymnasium. In 2001 she appeared in the Danish-language musical Linie 1 directed by Sidsel Wagner Davidsen. From 2006 to 2010 she studied acting at the Rostock University of Music and Drama. [1] In 2007 she starred in Thomas Freyer's Amoklauf mein Kinderspiel at the Volkstheater Rostock. In 2010 she became a new ensemble member at the Schauspiel Dortmund, which she then remained for two years. In Dortmund she played the title role in Lessing's Miss Sara Sampson, a witch and Malcolm in Macbeth, the Young Woman in Blood Wedding, Marie in Nora and Regine Engstrand in Ghosts. She was voted best actress of the 2012 season at the Theater Dortmund. [2] After this season, she took her leave and returned to Berlin. However, she was seen again as a guest actress in Dortmund in 2013. [3] In addition to her theater career, Heyer appeared in several short films.

In 2011, she played her first leading role in the feature film Westwind, that of the East German rower Isabel, whose twin sister falls in love with a West German during a stay in Hungary.

In 2014, she played Sanna in Edward Berger's film drama Jack, which was in competition at the 2014 Berlinale. [4] In 2015, she starred in Rosa von Praunheim's film Härte.

In 2016, Heyer played Milena in "The Remains of My Life". In 2016, she played the female lead role of Doro in the film Fado. In 2017, she played her first solo leading role in the comedy Einmal bitte alles. The film won the Bavarian Film Award.

In 2019, Luise Heyer was given the rare honour of a double nomination at the German Film Awards. It was considered both for the leading role of a rape victim in The Most Beautiful Couple and for the supporting role of the depressive mother of the young Hape Kerkeling (played by Julius Weckauf) in Der Junge muss an die frische Luft. For this she received the German Film Award 2019 in the category Best Supporting Actress. In the same year, she was awarded the Bambi in the category "National Actress" for both roles.

In 2020, she played the lead role of the bartender in the film Leif in Concert, directed by Christian Klandt. Acting guests in the film and thus also in the bar include Bela B. Felsenheimer, Godehard Giese, Mark Benecke and Tilo Prückner, who died in the same year. Among others, the bands Karl die Große, Körper and the singer-songwriter Poorboy will perform in the bar and thus in the film.

Heyer played the role of a single mother, assistant and serial offender in Polizeiruf 110: Sabine. For this acting performance, she was awarded the German Television Crime Award in the Best Actress category in 2021. [5]

In 2021, she played the Odd Couple as "Ghost" together with Frederick Lau in the comedy Generation Beziehungunfähig. The film premiered at the Munich Film Festival and was nominated three times. [6]

In January 2025, The Way Home, based on a novel by Sebastian Fitzek, was released on Prime Video. Heyer played the leading role of the young mother Klara, who is threatened by her husband and a killer. [7]

Luise Heyer lives in Berlin and has a son. [8]
